Introduction

The Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) 2024 notification has been released. UTET is a state-level examination conducted by the Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in primary and upper primary schools within the state.

Application Fee

• For Paper I Only
• General / OBC / EWS: 600/-

• For Both Paper (Junior / Primary)

• Pay the Examination Fee Through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or Offline Fee Mode Only.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:

  • For UTET I (Primary Teacher): Candidates must have completed Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
  • For UTET II (Upper Primary Teacher): Candidates should have a graduation degree and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

• Age Limit: Minimum age of 18 years and maximum age of 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.

Application Process

1. Online Registration: Visit the official UBSE website and complete the registration form with necessary details.
2. Uploading Documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and required educational documents.
3. Application Fee Payment: Pay the application fee through online modes such as credit/debit card or net banking.
4. Submit Application: Review the application and submit it before the deadline.

Exam Pattern

• UTET I:

  • Subjects: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (Hindi/English), Language II (English/Urdu/Sanskrit), Mathematics, Environmental Studies
  • Total Marks: 150
  • Duration: 2.5 hours

• UTET II:

  • Subjects: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (Hindi/English), Language II (English/Urdu/Sanskrit), Mathematics and Science (for Mathematics and Science teachers) or Social Studies (for Social Studies teachers)
  • Total Marks: 150
  • Duration: 2.5 hours

Syllabus

• Child Development and Pedagogy: Child development (primary school child), concept of inclusive education, learning and pedagogy.
• Language I & II: Language comprehension, pedagogy of language development.
• Mathematics and Environmental Studies: Content, pedagogical issues, problem-solving abilities.
• Social Studies/Science: Content, pedagogical issues.

Admit Card and Result

• Admit Card: Available for download on the official website in September 2024. Carry a printout of the admit card to the exam center.
• Result: Announced in November 2024. Check the results on the UBSE website using your roll number and date of birth.
